Mountains 101­­ is a free interdisciplinary 12-lesson Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) providing a comprehensive overview of Mountain Studies.  The course was developed by David Hik and Zac Robinson at the University of Alberta, in partnership with Parks Canada and the Alpine Club of Canada.

Makarius Lalika, a lecturer in the Department of Physical Sciences at Sokoine University of Agriculture in Tanzania, is looking for collaborators from European Universities. 

The phD thesis "Urbanizing the Swiss Alps: densification strategies for mountain cities" by Fiona Pia received the award "Prix de la thèse EPFL".
