A major new mountain culture project funded by the AHRC is now inviting contributions and future collaborations. Performing Landscapes: Mountains is a 21-month UK research project (running to May 2018), culminating in a monograph, a new piece of practice-led research premiering at the Kendal Mountain Festival in 2017, public talks and an international symposium. A wide range of public events is now planned, including presentations at Mountain Festivals in the UK and Canada and a new seminar series, Mountainsides, bringing together theatre academics and mountaineers to discuss common themes.
