Dr Robert Mills as part of his UK NERC soil security fellowship, he will be establishing long-term monitoring and experimental sites in the western highlands and the Cairngorm mountains in Scotland across elevation gradients. These will be fully instrumented, and will focus on soil microbial ecology and biogeochemistry.
