The 35th International Conference on Alpine Meteorology (ICAM) will take place from 2 to 6 September 2019 in Riva del Garda (Italy).
The conference welcomes contributions on all aspects of mountain meteorology and climatology:
- Dynamics of dry and moist orographically forced airflow
- Boundary layer processes over complex terrain
- Orographic clouds and precipitation
- Recent and future field campaigns
- Challenges in weather forecasting in mountainous areas
- Numerical weather prediction over complex terrain (incl. data assimilation and predictability studies)
- Mountain climates and impacts of climate change
- Meteorological processes affecting air quality, water resources, renewable energy harvesting, ecosystems, urban environment, infrastructures.
The full conference programme will be released in June 2019.
The conference is jointly organised by the Italian Association of Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology (AISAM) and the University of Trento.
Support from institutions and organisations willing to contribute to the conference are very welcome. Support may be targeted to cover specific costs (student travel grants, side events, refreshments, etc.) upon agreement with the donor. The conference may also offer companies operating in meteorology or other related fields space or other faciltiies to exhibit their products at the conference venue, as well as visibility in conference communications.
