The registration is now open for the ‘GEO BON Global Conference: Monitoring Biodiversity for Action’, which is to be held in Montreal, Canada, from 10-13 October 2023. Register for the event by 25 September 2023.
It is an in-person conference with plenaries streamed on YouTube. The programme will include a series of sessions, workshops, panel discussions, and fireside chats. The conference is meant to be a convening place for all sectors of society to discuss the implementation of the new Global Biodiversity Framework through the lens of participatory biodiversity monitoring based on new technologies and traditional approaches, all with the purpose of informing decision-making for biodiversity conservation and its sustainable use towards the vision of ‘Living in Harmony with Nature’. This conference is organised by GEO BON in partnership with the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, with support from local and international organisations.
