Science for the Carpathians (S4C) is pleased to announce that the 7th Forum Carpaticum conference/HES-GEO joint event will be held 25–28 September 2023 at Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland.
The Forum Carpaticum is an open meeting of the Science for the Carpathians (S4C) initiative. Including a broad spectrum of scientific disciplines from both the natural and social sciences and practical knowledge, the Forum Carpaticum is an attempt to integrate different fields of expertise to generate value for the Carpathian mountain region.
The objectives of Forum Carpaticum are:
- to support scientifically actions leading towards sustainability in the Carpathian region;
- to increase the visibility of the Carpathian region in the global change research agendas;
- to link research and practice in the field of coupled human-environmental systems in mountain regions
The anticipated fee will be 250-280 EURO and will include participation in the sessions, conference materials, coffee breaks, lunches, and conference dinner.
Calls for abstracts
Participants are invited to submit abstracts of oral presentations and posters related to the themes of the main topics of the Science for the Carpathians Research Agenda 2022-2030. Please submit your abstract of up to 250 words using this attached template, indicating up to 3 thematic areas. The contributions will be assigned into sessions after submission is closed.
