Our project starts from the understanding that climate change represents a growing threat to food security, especially for small-scale farmers in developing countries given their limited capacities to adapt to its consequences. For this study, we aim to determine if the assessed population in Cajamarca, a region located in the Tropical Andes, considers that there are impacts generated by climate change on the agricultural sector that affect food security through questionnaires and focus groups based on the KAP methodological framework. The results will contribute to a more precise understanding of the manifestations and relevance of climate change in rural populations living in the Tropical Andes and will provide information to decision-makers to design adaptation strategies linked to local needs.
