The GlamBIE project will be part of the next RAGMAC workshop – supported by IACS and ESA – to be held at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, from 6-8 February 2023.
The workshop aims at bringing together the core teams of the main RAGMAC activities in a face-to-face meeting in order to push the current results towards publication. At the same time, the workshop shall be open to interested participants from the RAGMAC community and will include hybrid afternoon sessions to allow for remote participation.
There will be multiple GlaMBIE-specific sessions across the workshop, including a core team meeting to discuss the results of the pilot study in Iceland, Svalbard, and Central Asia, and the public presentation of GlaMBIE and call-for-data for main study.
Day 1 of the workshop will focus on the “Glacier volume change intercomparison experiment using digital elevation models from spaceborne optical and radar sensors (ASTER & TDX)”, which is the main activity of RAGMAC WP1. Day 2 will focus on the “Glacier Mass Balance Intercomparison Exercise (GlaMBIE)”, which is the main activity of RAGMAC WP3, supported by ESA.
