Early career scientists and research managers from the World Network of Biosphere Reserves will jointly reflect upon research in biosphere reserves and develop strategies for future action.

Focus one (16.-17.05.2022)

Early career researchers will present their recent results and share experiences related to scientific work in biosphere reserves. Based on this exchange, they will develop proposals on how the framework conditions for research in biosphere reserves could be improved.

Focus two (19.-20.05.2022)

Funding agencies, research institutions and biosphere reserves will share examples of successful research support. In addition, results from the first part will be presented to research managers. Based on these recommendations and best practice examples, future guidelines will be developed.

These two parts of the conference will be connected by a day of excursions and an opening ceremony (18.05.2022).
