The Digital Transition and Use of Mountain Spaces / Transition numérique et fréquentation des espaces de montagne
This special issue of the bilingual Journal of Alpine Research|Revue de géographie alpine (111-3 | 2023) is part of a series of studies on the effects of the digital transition on the use and management of mountain areas. The issue highlights the new digital uses as well as the methodological, ethical and legal issues associated with the use of geodata generated by users. It also highlights the need to consolidate methods of analysis and governance to make effective use of this data in decision-making and scientific research.
