The European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly (GA) 2018

The EGU GA is one of the biggest gatherings in Europe for the geosciences; an annual conference that brings together over 11,000 scientists from all over the world. The next will take place in Vienna, Austria, 8–13 April 2018. So far, the 2018 program contains over 70 sessions dedicated to mountain topics across many of the listed disciplinary programmes and sessions. These include: biogeosciences; climate; cryospheric sciences; energy, resources, and the environment; geomorphology; hydrological sciences; natural hazards; and more.

The deadline for abstract submissions is 10 January 2018.

4th Sustainable Summits Conference

The fourth edition of the Sustainable Summits Conference will be held in Chamonix, France, 12-14 June 2018. The conference will address topics such as human impacts, climate change, and sustainable development, engaging with the mountaineering commuities as well as practitioners, private sector, and the scientific community. The MRI, as part of the organising Steering Comittee, will also participate in the program and host side events.

Adaptation Futures 2018

The next Adaptation Futures will be held in Cape Town, South Africa, 18-21 June 2018. Adaptation Futures is the biennial conference of the Global Programme of Research on Climate Change Vulnerability, Impacts, and Adaptation (PROVIA), focusing on advancing knowledge on climate change adaptation. 

The call for abstracts will open on 1 December 2017, ending 15 January 2018.
