The World Glacier Monitoring Service (WGMS), hosted at the Department of Geography at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, are seeking a PhD candidate for a three-year position. The PhD engages in 'the glacier work package' of the project Global Gravity-based Groundwater Product (G3P). This project is funded through the EU Research and Innovation programme Horizon 2020. It aims to develop a product of groundwater storage variations with global coverage and monthly resolution by a cross-cutting combination of satellite gravity data with independent water storage observations such as related to snow, soil moisture, lakes, and glaciers.
